We had the privilege of performing with our good friend [and Derek’s twin], Josh Colburn. If you weren’t at the Haiti benefit show we had on 1.14.11, here is what you missed.
So, I know a lot of you have been wondering what we’ve been up to these last 7 months. In answer to your question, we really haven’t been up to much.
However, about 3 months ago we began pre-production on our full length album with our good friend Mike Mittelstedt. Every Thursday night we drive to Hayward and record our voices, guitars, or random objects we find in the studio, hoping to create an album that literally blows your socks off.
This is a short look into one of our recent Thursday nights. Derek found an out of tune toy piano, and this is what happened.
Check out our EP promo! Made by our great friend and colleague, Jason Kleist.
Fun Fact: Jason once fought a bear with one hand tied behind his back and a cigar in his mouth - the bear was no match.
Welcome to all things ND.
As we begin our journey through the land of our full length album, we thought it might be nice to keep you in the loop. We’ll be posting pictures and videos, and maybe, if you’re lucky - we’ll record some rough demos with our iPhones as teasers (who are we kidding, Derek doesn’t have an iPhone).
This will be a place for our thoughts and frustrations, and the occasional rant… please feel free to engage us in conversation…
…and please, ask us for advice, we’re really really good at advice.
We asked our Twitter and Facebook followers today, but let’s get the discussion going on here…
If you could choose any song ever recorded, what song would you have ND cover? #discuss
